Prosser - Rosalind Hoffa

Source: Crawfordsville Daily Journal, June 19, 1923

Rosalind Hoffa Prosser was born April 19, 1906, and died June 14, 1923, being 17 years, 1 month and 26 days old.  One year ago, she was united in marriage to Paul Prosser of Linden to whom one child was born which passed away at birth one week ago.

On Thursday evening Rosalind seemed much improved and hoped were felt for her recovery but later on uremic poison developed from which effects her death resulted.  Rosalind's death came as a shock to the community in which she lived as she was loved by all who knew her.

She was possessed of a cheerful and kind disposition and the many acts of kindness which she died will be ever remembered.  Her love for children was remarkable and she seemed happy when around them.

We shall cherish in our hearts a sad sweet memory of the young life which God has called to the great beyond.  On Thursday night before she passed away she prayed to the Lord to give her rest and sleep.  God answered her prayer as she passed into a sleep from which there is no awakening only in another world.

She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, Paul Prosser, her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. George F. Hoffa, four brothers, George of Dyer, Indiana, Francis, Edwin, and Gerald, all at home: also many relatives and friends. – thanks to Kim H
